Rambler Coaches – The Rowland years
Rambler Coaches with its distinctive green, black and cream livery has been a familiar sight on Britain’s roads for 100 years. Founded by Dick Rowland in 1924 in the seaside resort of Hastings, the company grew and flourished throughout the 1930’s, saw its coaches requestioned in the war, but would go on to become one of the leading operators in the South East of England.
Following Dick’s death in 1966 the business continued under his widow Muriel, joined by their young son Colin. In the 1970’s they were joined by a new partner John Goodwin. This book charts the Rowland years up until Colins retirement in 2018.
With 377 pages and 321 photographs, the company’s fascinating history is complimented by a full fleet list and at £35 with free postage and packaging as a special launch promotion.
